Destination Toledo is proud to welcome the 86th Glass Problems Conference and Symposium back to the Glass City, October 6–9, 2025.
Recognized as the premier international conference for glass manufacturing technologies, the event will draw more than 500 industry professionals to Toledo for multiple days of networking and education at the Glass City Center.
The Glass Problems Conference and Symposium, returning to the Glass City after last year’s record-setting debut in Toledo, brings together decision makers, managers, and engineers from across the glass industry for a dynamic program focused on real-world challenges and solutions. With an agenda designed to inspire innovation and collaboration, this year’s event will spotlight advancements in glass science, sustainability, and manufacturing, featuring dedicated tracks on melting, refractory, decarbonization, and machine learning. Organizers anticipate another strong turnout as the conference continues to serve as the premier forum for education, networking, and the exchange of ideas that will shape the future of the global glass industry.
“We’re thrilled to have the Glass Manufacturing Industry Council choose Toledo again for this year’s conference,” says Mark Brazeau, Destination Toledo’s Director of Group Sales and Relationship Management. “With all of the current excitement surrounding local glass manufacturing, it’s a perfect time for glass professionals from around the world to witness firsthand the innovation and area talent that make Toledo such a major player in the worldwide glass industry.”
“It’s easy to see why Toledo is nicknamed the Glass City. The city has always been renowned for its innovation in commercial glass manufacturing, and the Ohio Department of Development’s Innovation Hub grant will only help to continue that innovation and production. We’re thrilled to be bringing our 86th conference back to Toledo where glassmaking is not only a way of life, but also a source of community pride.”
