ACCESSIBILITY

TRAVEL IS FOR EVERYONE. TOLEDO IS FOR EVERYONE.
Destination Toledo supports the city’s goal of becoming the most disability-friendly in the country. In partnership with The Ability Center of Greater Toledo and local organizations, efforts focus on improving accessibility across tourism and creating more inclusive experiences.
This work includes staff training, becoming a Certified Autism Center, developing resources, and advocating for accessibility in every interaction. Together, these initiatives help ensure every visitor can fully enjoy Toledo’s attractions, events, and hospitality.
With a shared commitment to removing barriers, Destination Toledo and its partners continue to expand access to accommodations and experiences for all abilities. Learn more at abilitycenter.org.
Destination Toledo has also partnered with Alyssa Stoy to develop an Accessibility Guide to help visitors explore Toledo’s attractions, experiences, and amenities with greater ease and confidence.
Alyssa, an Occupational Therapy doctoral graduate from the University of Toledo, researched, wrote, and documented every detail within the Toledo Accessibility Guide. Her work brings a thoughtful, expert perspective to accessibility, offering clear, reliable information that supports travelers of all abilities in planning their visit.
