Toledo. It’s home of the Jeep and known as the Glass City, thanks to Owens Corning, Owens Illinois and Libbey Glass. ProMedica, one of Toledo’s largest employers, recently opened their new headquarters downtown, adding to the city’s recent growth and resurgence.
Throughout the city, you will find locally owned restaurants of every ethnicity including the famous Tony Packo’s in east Toledo; Mancy’s Steakhouse, Toledo’s signature steakhouse for nearly 100 years in north Toledo; Schmucker’s made-from-scratch dishes and celebrated homemade pies in west Toledo; and family owned and operated home-style Deet’s BBQ in south Toledo.
With a revitalized downtown comes dozens of restaurants, bars with live music and tons of living space. The Hensville entertainment district, a revitalized Promenade Park music venue, the new Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel and the Downtown Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) all breathe new life into our downtown. We invite you to visit us soon and hope you’ll come back often!
