Oregon, Ohio is a city located in Lucas County and a suburb of Toledo, just east of the city. It’s referred to as “Oregon on the Bay”, for its location on the northwestern shores of Lake Erie. Oregon’s most popular attraction is the picturesque Maumee Bay State Park, featuring Maumee Bay Resort & Conference Center, a waterfront resort set on the lake. Each May, the resort/park hosts The Biggest Week in American Birding, a 10-day birding festival that brings in thousands of visitors from all over the world to experience the annual warbler migration.
Other fantastic attractions include Pearson Metropark, having preserved remnants of the original “Great Black Swamp” that our region is known for. The annual ethnic German-American Festival draws over 30,000 people each year. Oregon is also the proud home to the Sundance Drive-In Theater, one of the last remaining (only 330) left in the entire country! Oregon welcomes you to enjoy our community any time of the year.
