Wersell's Bike to the Bay Training/Bikepacking Ride

Welcome to another Wersell's Bike Shop event! This ride will offer Bike to the Bay riders, and any rider for that matter, an opportunity to try their hand at a shorter version of the same ride they will do in June for Bike to the Bay! Riders have the option to complete just a 25 mile ride out to Oak Openings and organize their own transportation back to the shop. Otherwise you are welcome to camp at no cost courtesy of Metroparks Toledo at Oak Openings Springbrook campground for the evening of May 18th and ride back to the shop the next morning for a total of 50 miles over 2 days and one night of camping.

Riders also have the choice to carry all their own camping gear and food or pay $2 extra to have your gear and food transported for you to the park. The ride will meet at Wersell’s Bike Shop parking lot promptly at 8:00 am to get any camping gear that you are having transported loaded up. The ride will leave the shop parking lot at 9:30am.

All skill levels are welcome as on all of our rides. We will be providing a route sheet and map for those that would like to go faster than the main group otherwise the entire trip will be lead by our very own Rob Schoenlein.
