The fire service has a saying, "As long as their names are spoken, they are remembered."
On June 10, 1961, a gasoline tanker truck exploded on the Anthony Wayne Trail. Four Toledo firefighters were killed and six others were injured fighting the fire. This documentary explains how the fire happened, and shares the experiences of those who responded through original footage and recent interviews with surviving TFRD retirees.
Following the premiere, hear from producers and several surviving firefighters as they discuss how the Trail Fire changed the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department.
