Catch the Ballet Theatre of Toledo's production of the Little Mermaid!
Based on the original Hans Christian Anderson story, Sirenetta, a young mermaid, saves a seas captain from drowning and falls in love with him. She gives up her life as a mermaid to be with her love but loses her ability to speak. The sea captain reveals that he is a prince and explains that he cannot marry Sirenetta because he must marry a princess who can speak to become the queen.
