The annual Sylvania SuperKids Triathlon and Duathlon is one of the oldest kid’s trip/du in the country. It takes place at beautiful Olander Park in Sylvania, Ohio. The swim and run take place inside the park, while the bike heads west up the Sylvania Ave. bike path, into the local neighborhood and back to Olander Park.
Also for the “younger ones,” a fun run is open to boys and girls, ages 3-6 → 0.4 mile
Ages 7 to 10 → Triathlon/Duathlon
Triathlon → 100 yard swim, 4k bike, 1k run
Duathlon → 1k run, 4k bike, 1k run
Ages 11 to 14 → Triathlon/Duathlon
Triathlon → 200 yard swim, 6k bike, 1k run
Duathlon → 1k run, 4k bike, 2k run
*Approved CPSC/ANSI/SNELL approved bike helmet must be worn.
*Swim cap that is provided must be worn during the swim.
Why Participate?
It exposes and educates youth to the multi-sport lifestyle, all while being involved in a fun, exciting, and safe atmosphere! It will really help you to “get your feet wet.” Engages youth athletes in pre-race and post-race activities such as vendor areas, clinics, and additional educational opportunities.
It also creates an opportunity to meet friends and other youth athletes who are interested and also engage in the multisport lifestyle.
Who Can Participate?
If you are in between the ages of 7-14 and have a USA Triathlon annual youth membership, you are eligible to take part in the fun and exciting multisport series. Be prepared for a great experience, bring a positive attitude, and be ready to learn firsthand about multisport.
