The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Sylvania, and local Sylvania Area Veterans Groups will be hosting the 2024 Sylvania Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 27th.
Come out to commemorate the men and women who died while in the military service of our country. Beginning at 9:00 AM, a brief service will be held at Toledo Memorial Park, located at 6382 Monroe Street. Over 14,000 local veterans are laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park. The “Sea of Flags” that decorate their graves is a truly magnificent sight. Local Veterans groups and color guards will also visit Association, Ravine, and St. Joseph’s cemeteries to honor fallen military personnel.
The Sylvania Memorial Day Parade will take place in Historic Downtown Sylvania on Main Street - a full parade route will be shared in the upcoming weeks.
The parade steps off at 10:15 AM.
They invite everyone to attend the Memorial Day service, which will begin at 11:15 A.M. at Veterans Memorial Park with City of Sylvania Mayor Craig Stough serving as Master of Ceremonies.
