EVENT UPDATES AS OF 3/13/20
The Blarney is announcing that we will be scaling back events Friday thru Tuesday eliminating the heated tent and the planned open-air street party on St. Patrick’s Day. We understand the gravity of the situation regarding the COVID-19 impact and want to ensure that we are taking every precaution to keep folks safe in the Pub during this weekend and beyond. ProMedica has provided hand sanitizer stations to assist in keeping the St. Patrick’s Day events safe and clean.
The Blarney Shamrockin’ Shuffle has been postponed to a later date, to be determined in the coming days. All current registrants will automatically be placed into the event on the new date. You can still pick up your packet Friday 3/13 from 12p.m. to 7:30p.m. at Dave’s Running Shop, Sylvania. We’re currently working with Run Toledo and the City to confirm the new date. We’ll publish this information in the coming days, as soon as it is confirmed.
The Blarney will be open during normal business hours, 11am - 2am on Friday, March 13th and Saturday March 14th. On Sunday March 15th the Pub will be open, serving a brunch from 11a to 2p and will feature live music on stage with Captain Sweet Shoes from 1p to 4p. Monday, March 16th, the Pub will be open normal business hours. On St. Patrick’s Day, Tuesday, March 17, the Pub will be open at 6a with a full Irish breakfast until 11a.m. After 11a.m., all food will be served out of the Event Center where the band Extra Stout will perform from 1p.m.- 4p.m.
The Blarney staff is taking extra care with sanitizing the bar area often and using the recommended handwashing protocol.
“We decided to scale the event back but thought it was important to give people the opportunity to get out and take their mind off all the craziness that is happening around the world. We’re doing everything we can to make this a safe and healthy St. Patrick’s Day and look forward to hosting many more events in 2020.” Ed Beczynski, owner, The Blarney Irish Pub.
