Sensory Friendly Mornings at the Museum

National Museum of the Great Lakes
1701 Front Street
Toledo, OH

Saturday, June 22, 2024 | 9 - 10 a.m.

Step into a world of wonder and exploration tailored just for you and your family!

Experience the magic of the museum in a serene and accommodating atmosphere during their Sensory Friendly Mornings.

Created especially for people who have sensory sensitivities, this dedicated time allows for a truly immersive and comfortable visit.

At the Sensory Friendly Morning:

  • Crowds are limited, ensuring a peaceful and relaxed environment.
  • Our dim lights create a calming ambiance.
  • Exhibit sounds are lowered or even eliminated, reducing auditory stimulation.

We understand the importance of providing inclusive experiences for all visitors. That’s why we’re proud to announce that our museum is a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) by the prestigious International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Services (IBCCES). This recognition reflects our commitment to understanding and supporting individuals with autism and other sensory sensitivities.
