In partnership with 20 North Gallery, Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel is pleased to host a recurring pop-up art exhibit showcasing the works of one Toledo based artist a month.
Join the Renaissance on Thursday, April 11 from 7 to 9pm for an evening of artistic dialogue and discovery as we feature the artwork of ceramicist Tom Marino in the hotel's lobby. Marino's background and degree in Chemistry inform his artistic process and inspirations as he has been creating stunning ceramic forms for over three decades. Marino’s award-winning work is included in many permanent museum collections including the Canton Museum of Art (Ohio), the Crocker Museum of Art (Sacramento, California), the Block Museum (Evanston, Illinois), the Midwest Museum of American Art (Elkhart, Indiana), Racine Art Museum (Racine, Wisconsin), as well as the permanent collection of Ceramics Monthly (Westerville, Ohio). Marino’s ceramic work has also been accepted into the collection of the Dalai Lama.
The artist will be in attendance and is delighted to speak with visitors about his work, answering any questions they may have. All artworks on view will be available for purchase.
