The second annual Midwest Rhythm Summit, April 5-7 at Terra State Community College, boasts a diverse group of musicians, from thrash metal bassists to drummers and a video game composer. Geared toward rhythm enthusiasts from all walks of life, the Midwest Rhythm Summit is an education-oriented experience focusing on bass and drums where nationally recognized artists present master classes and clinics over the three day event. Friday and Saturday nights feature concerts from several of the clinicians, including the Anthrax and Megadeth bassists’ side project, Altitudes & Attitudes, Stranger Than Fiction, the Doug Johns Band and Oskar Cartaya and his Latin-Jazz group. The event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased online.
