Rappelling is a fundamental skill for climbers and the number one reason climbers suffer accidents outdoors.

Learn how to set up and execute a backed-up rappel using the best modern practices, as well as some bad practices to avoid.

Class Overview

• Learn what gear and devices to use in various situations.
• Learn several methods of backing up the rappel in case something goes wrong.
• Students will get several opportunities to lower themselves down a 25-foot wall, adding more skill and confidence with every descent.
• One time class; 1.5-hour duration
• Age:14+
• Pre-requisite- Top rope proficient
• Rental gear included
