Science, Technology, Engineering and Math are all around us – even in the sports we love. Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer and is the perfect weekend to celebrate America’s Favorite Pastime - baseball!
STEM concepts can be found throughout the sport: physics in finding the sweet spot of the bat, technology throughout the stadium, engineering in the design of helmets and other safety gear and statistics in player performance, and so much more!
Baseball fans of all ages are invited to slide into Imagination Station, May 25 - 27 to test their throwing speed in the pitching cage and tap out a tune on a xylophone made out of baseball bats. The first 100 kids to visit the science center each day will receive a free Imagination Station baseball.
Muddy and Muddonna will be on hand to meet with visitors from 1 – 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 26.
Home Run Weekend activities are free for visitors with paid Imagination Station admission. The science center is open Memorial Day, Monday, May 27 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
