Girl Power introduces girls in grades 3-8 to what's possible with STEAM. Through hands-on workshops, activities and opportunities to hear from a diverse group of local, female professionals, Girl Power ignites a curiosity for the sciences and empowers girls to follow their dreams.
You may look at your little girl now and think she doesn't need to worry about a job or career just yet—but these early moments of exploration and play are where big dreams begin. Impactful STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) experiences make a difference. It's where children gain the skills they need for exciting careers of the future.
Keynote Speaker | Miss Ohio Stephanie Finoti
Stephanie Finoti, Miss Ohio 2024, is a Columbus native and a student at the University of Cincinnati, pursuing her dream of becoming a pediatrician while studying ballet at the College Conservatory of Music prep academy.
She has traveled 20,000+ miles across Ohio, empowering and preparing over 15,000+ students from low-income communities to pursue STEM careers through her community service initiative, That STEM Girl: Skills, Training, Empowerment, Medicine.
Additionally, she works as a scientist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital’s fetal therapy center and as a nurse aide at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Neonatal ICU. Stephanie hopes to inspire young women by showing that they can succeed in both a crown and a lab coat, sharing the message that anything is possible through perseverance and passion!
