The "Family Haunted Ride", especially designed for families with children 12 and under. Come dressed in your "bike safe costume" and join in the fun of this family bike event that covers 3 to 5 miles of haunted trail all within Oak Openings Metropark. Check-in and day-of registration begins at 10:30AM and the group ride starts at 11AM.
We have three groups of 30 participants, please pick the same time slot for your party (11AM, 12:30PM or 2PM). Come 30 minutes before your group ride at the Buehner Center where you will have a complimentary photo taken to donwload from our website. Come early and enjoy the new playground, eat lunch before or after you ride and visit the Window on Wildlife. All children receive goody bags. Come dressed in your Halloween costume. Bring your helmet and tune-up your bike to go out on a 3 to 5 mile route completely within Oak Openings Metropark. Explore the Prairie Sand Dunes, Wabash Cannonball Trail, Pine Forest and more. A new self-guided tour is also available.
While we have enjoyed many beautiful fall days in past years, please be prepared for all weather conditions. Register on-line until October 18th to take advantage of pre-registration pricing. Day of event registration will be available but please pre-register so we can plan for the event.
