The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical

Get ready for a high-energy, mythological adventure as the University of Toledo Department of Theatre and Film presents The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical.

Based on the best-selling novel by Rick Riordan, this action-packed musical follows Percy Jackson, a teenager who discovers he’s the half-blood son of a Greek god. When Zeus’s master lightning bolt is stolen—and Percy is blamed—he embarks on an epic quest to clear his name and prevent a war among the gods. Along the way, Percy must battle monsters, outsmart prophecies, journey to the Underworld, and come to terms with who he really is.

Featuring an electrifying original rock score, this fast-paced production blends humor, heart, and heroic adventure into a story that’s perfect for families, students, and fans of Greek mythology. Whether you’re a local looking for live theatre in Toledo or visiting the area, this production offers an exciting and accessible night out.
