Momentum: Toledo's Arts + Culture Festival

Enjoy art exhibitions from local, and world renown artists during Momentum Festival, September 20-22.

Momentum Festival 2024

Join the Arts Commission downtown for Momentum 2024 on September 20-22! This year's festival will be on N. Superior St., between Madison Ave. and Adams St., with both indoor and outdoor spaces for guests to explore. This festival footprint provides an opportunity to utilize Toledo's fabric and architecture to create a sense of density, focus, and intimacy.

Something for Everyone
Started in 2017, Momentum is an annual festival that celebrates our vibrant community through arts and culture. Made possible by the generosity of local businesses and individual donors, this festival is a celebration of Toledo's talented visual, performing, and literary artists. Do as much or as little as you want–there is something that will spark a little creativity in everyone!

What can you see at Momentum?
Local Artists Exhibition | Celebrate Toledo with over 100 local creatives! Visual artists will have work on display (and for sale) throughout the festival.

Anchor Art | Anchor art consists of large scale, interactive, and spectacle artworks which are submitted by application before the festival. They will be placed throughout the event to encourage moments of discovery for attendees.

Momentum Intersection | A collaboration of industry, design, and art. Inspired by the studio glass movement, The Arts Commission seeks to provide new collaborations between applications of glass as an artistic medium and manufacturing processes. The program is a partnership with NSG, Pilkington North America. The 2024 Exhibition features work from Gabriel Peña, Matthew Hutchinson, and Davin Ebanks. Their work will be on display at the Toledo Museum of Art Glass Pavilion, 2444 Monroe St., from September 20 to October 26 with an artist reception on Friday, September 20.

Artist Market | Local vendors will be set up Saturday & Sunday with work available for purchase.

Brood X Film Showcase | Brood X, or (brood 10), in partnership with the Momentum Festival hosted by The Arts Commission, provides a platform for visual storytellers to share their work in front of a physical audience composed of other movie-makers, creatives, producers, enthusiasts, and storytellers. A night of celebration and collective appreciation for the work we all put into the stories we tell.
