Lights, camera, Toledo! The Glass City takes center stage in The Paper, a new Peacock comedy from “The Office” creators Greg Daniels and Michael Koman. To celebrate the series premiere, the community is invited to a special free viewing party on Thursday, September 4th at Imagination Station’s KeyBank Discovery Theater. Hosted by community partners Imagination Station, Destination Toledo, FilmToledo, Toledo City Paper, and Jūpmode, the community viewing event will feature a screening of the fi rst two episodes, plus Toledo and “The Office” themed trivia.

Set in Toledo at the fi ctional Toledo Truth Teller newspaper, The Paper follows a team of misfi ts trying to save local journalism—captured through the lens of the same documentary crew from “The Offi ce”. The 10-episode series, starring Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Nuñez, and an all-star cast, also begins streaming on Peacock Sept. 4th.

The viewing party also provides the opportunity for attendees to get behind the scenes accounts from organizations that worked with the show to make Toledo’s portrayal as authentic as possible.

We can’t wait to enjoy the fi rst episodes at the viewing party
and to see all of the Toledo references throughout the season.”
