July 1-5 | Toledo Mud Hens Games & Rock N’ Blast at Fifth Third Field
The Mud Hens welcome back the Chicago Cubs’ AAA affiliate, the Iowa Cubs, for a five-game homestand to kick off the month of July. Kick off the 4th of July weekend early with some Mud Hens Baseball and their largest fireworks show of the season, Rock N Blast, on July 3rd and 4th. Featuring a light up item giveaway, pre and postgame live music at Hensville ft. Elton Dan and the Rocket Band, and more. (Free and open to the public)
July 3 | Fireworks | Maumee & Perrysburg
Celebrate Independence Day with one of the region’s most popular fireworks displays as Perrysburg and Maumee light up the night sky on Friday, July 3. Beginning at 10 p.m., fireworks will launch near the Fort Meigs Memorial Bridge and can be viewed from several prime locations, including Fort Meigs Historic Site, Riverside Park, Orleans Park, and the Towpath Trail in Maumee. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, as road closures and traffic restrictions will be in place throughout the evening. The spectacular display lasts approximately 20 to 25 minutes and offers a memorable way to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary along the scenic Maumee River.
July 3 | Star Spangled Celebration
Make plans for an unforgettable Fourth of July celebration at Centennial Terrace’s annual Star-Spangled Fireworks event. The evening features live music from 56 Daze, delicious concessions, and a festive atmosphere perfect for families and friends. Gates open at 6 p.m., with entertainment throughout the evening leading up to a spectacular fireworks display at 10 p.m., synchronized to music on 101.5 The River. Bring your patriotic spirit and enjoy a summer tradition that combines great music, community fun, and one of the area’s most anticipated fireworks shows.
July 3 | BG Boom Festival & Fireworks
Celebrate early with the BG Boom Festival in Bowling Green on July 3 at the Wood County Fairgrounds. Starting at 4 p.m., this free, family-friendly event features games, inflatables, live music by the Bowling Green Area Community Band, food trucks, and hands-on activities for kids. The night ends with a spectacular Rozzi Fireworks show around dusk—best viewed from the East or North parking lots off Brim Road. Don’t forget to bring aluminum cans to recycle and help support next year’s event!
The celebration begins on July 3 at Promenade Park with a special Party in the Park marking the kickoff of the City of Toledo’s 250th Celebration presented by Owens Corning. This free riverfront event brings together all the best parts of summer with live music from Ice Cream Militia and headliners The Day Drinkers, a pig roast and barbecue from Chef Paul of Riverside BBQ, local craft beer, and plenty of community spirit. Grab a lawn chair, enjoy beautiful views of the Maumee River, and spend the evening celebrating Toledo with great food, music, and hometown pride.
The festivities continue on July 4 with the City of Toledo 250th Celebration, a free evening packed with live entertainment, food trucks, giveaways, and family fun along the riverfront. Nikki D and the Sisters of Thunder will open for headliners Distant Cousinz before the night concludes with a spectacular fireworks display presented by Owens Corning. Guests can also enjoy an interactive selfie station and a unique fireworks soundtrack created by students from Toledo School for the Arts, making this patriotic celebration a memorable way to honor both Independence Day and Toledo’s 250th anniversary. July 4 | America’s 250th Birthday at Sauder Village
Celebrate America’s 250th birthday and Sauder Village’s 50th anniversary. The day features a U.S. District Court Naturalization Ceremony in the Historic Village accompanied by the Fort Defiance Dixieland Jazz Band, followed by an all-day “America 250 Homecoming and Picnic” with lunch combos from the Soda Fountain and a breakfast buffet at The Barn Restaurant. Admission is free for veterans and active-duty military.

July 4 | City of Toledo Fireworks in the 419
Celebrate Independence Day along the riverfront with the City of Toledo’s annual fireworks display. The show begins at dark and offers great viewing from both sides of the river, making it easy to pick a spot based on where you’re headed afterward. Guests are encouraged to park only in designated paved areas, as restricted zones will be strictly enforced and tow trucks will be active throughout the event.
Safety Information: To secure the area, the city is establishing a temporary special event safety zone that runs from 6 p.m. Saturday through 6 a.m. Sunday. Within this safety zone, recreational vehicles, including e-bikes, scooters and golf carts, are also prohibited. Veo scooter restrictions will include a no-ride zone. Anyone under the age of 18 must be with an adult who is 21 or older. Penalties can be imposed on parents if a minor is involved in disorderly conduct. Coolers, masks, face coverings and fireworks of any kind, including firecrackers, bottle rockets, smoke bombs, pop-its and sparklers are prohibited. All bags will be subject to inspection by law enforcement and security.
