Welcome to Brew House Coffee & Bake Shop, where we feature unique tastes and flavors. We focus on serving handcrafted beverages and specialize in a wide variety of brewing methods such as: Pour Over, Drip, French Press, Phin, Siphon Brew, AeroPress, Espresso and Cold Brew.

Proper Tea served in the British tradition is a formal tea with a set menu. Guests consider it to be a four course meal. A variety of premium teas, scones, savories, sandwiches and sweets are served on three tiered trays. Proper Tea is not to be rushed but savored in a relaxing setting with friends and family. Expect to spend a minimum of one and a half hours for Proper Tea.

History from the region’s rich past is brought to life at three sites that together make up one extraordinary Metropark. From the street, the connection between Fallen Timbers Battlefield, Fallen Timbers Monument and Fort Miamis are not obvious, but all three sites are forever, indelibly connected. Each site is reminiscent of a substantial turning point in our nation’s history.

• Fallen Timbers Battlefield: A 1.5 mile Northwest Territory Trail loops through a wooded area and over a ravine where the 1794 Battle of Fallen Timbers took place
• Fallen Timbers Monument: across the Anthony Wayne Trail from the actual battlefield, is an impressive monument to the important battle and the combatants on both sides. A bike/pedestrian bridge connects the two sites.
• Fort Miamis: The British fort, several miles away on River Road, played a role in the Battle of Fallen Timbers and, later, the War of 1812.
  The park is open, and much of the earthworks used to create the fort are still visible. An observation deck and tower overlook the site.

 Side Cut is where the Metroparks system began more than 90 years ago, and remains a signature Toledo-area destination today. Infused with tradition and history, a former extension of the Miami and Erie Canals, Side Cut is one of a series of riverfront parks. It is also connected with the Fallen Timbers Monument and Battlefield, and the Wabash Cannonball Trail.

The flat rocks that extend into the river between Maumee and Waterville are known as the Maumee River Ledges, a rare form of a little-known habitat called an alvar, found in only a handful of places on the Great Lakes. Three of the six original locks from the canal system were preserved by WPA workers during the Depression.

Activities and attractions within Side Cut include river and canal access for fishing and paddling sports, a sledding hill, playground, indoor and picnic shelters, and wildlife feeding stations with indoor viewing areas, called Windows on Wildlife.
