The Maumee River is the focal point that curves through and separates downtown into two distinct areas making up Toledo’s Downtown Riverfront. Each side shares an equally impressive set of attractions, restaurants, and businesses, many of which reflect our port way of life.
A stroll along the downtown waterfront will lead you by the Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel to Imagination Station, Toledo’s hands-on science center, past the renovated steam plant housing ProMedica’s headquarters, all in the forefront of a thriving downtown.
On the east side of the river stands International Park, a monument to Toledo’s global reach that features a diverse collection of eclectic dining options referred to as the Docks, with spectacular views of the downtown skyline. Head just north and you will come to the National Museum of the Great Lakes revealing the fascinating history of our treasured Great Lakes that offers tours of a retired freighter.
We welcome you to visit the Riverfront and enjoy our waterfront to the fullest.
