Top Shelf: A Toledo Opera Cocktail Competition

Top Shelf: A Cocktail Competition brings together craft cocktails, local personalities, and live opera inspiration for a spirited evening at the Registry Bistro Ballroom on Friday, February 6, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Hosted by Toledo Opera and inspired by The Elixir of Love, this one-night-only event blends friendly competition with culinary creativity in a lively, social setting.

During the event, some of Toledo’s favorite local celebrities will step behind the bar as guest mixologists, each paired with an assistant from the cast or creative team of The Elixir of Love. Together, they will compete to create the most crowd-pleasing cocktail of the night. Guests are invited to sample a flight of four unique cocktail creations, enjoy delicious bites, mocktails and nonalcoholic options, and take advantage of a dedicated wine bar.

The evening also features a special musical preview from a cast member, offering a taste of the opera that inspired the competition. Attendees will help determine the winner by casting votes through their tips, with the top-earning cocktail earning the coveted Top Shelf trophy.
