Historic U.S. R.T. 6 | America250 Lecture Series
The Wood County History Museum explores the history and impact of U.S. Route 6, also known as the Grand Army of the Republic Highway. This historic roadway stretches across northern Ohio and connects communities from the Indiana border to Pennsylvania, playing a significant role in shaping the region’s development. Attendees will discover the people, places, and stories tied to this cross-country route while gaining a broader perspective on its place in American history.
The program takes place on April 21 at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free for museum members and $7 for non-members, with tickets including a self-guided tour of the museum. The presentation will be led by Gary Hunter, Executive Director of the Ohio U.S. Route 6 Tourist Association.
