The Best Beyond Toledo
The center of Toledo packs everything from historic sights to professional sports into an inviting urban setting where it’s easy to drive without getting caught in traffic or fighting for a parking spot, and safe to walk to any of the countless sources of entertainment.
Holland
Holland, Ohio is a village in Lucas County and a suburb of Toledo. Positioned just slightly southwest of Toledo, Holland is famous for the annual Holland Strawberry Festival, a week-long family event celebrating the sweet wild strawberries that grow in this region each June. The event features a parade, amusement rides, live entertainment and plenty of strawberry edibles.
In addition to being a quiet residential area, Holland offers plenty of shopping, restaurants and hotels. It is home to the J.H. Fentress Antique Popcorn Museum.
Other attractions include Copper Moon Studio Gallery & Gifts, Firenation Glass Studio and Gallery, Strawberry Acres Park and Black Frog Brewery.


Maumee
Located in Lucas County along the Maumee River, the city of Maumee, Ohio is a suburb 10 miles southwest of Toledo and is northwest Ohio’s oldest permanent settlement. With a scenic setting along the river, it’s no wonder Maumee was selected as one of Ohio’s best hometowns by Ohio Magazine.
Filled with a rich history, Maumee is home to a variety of attractions and features a thriving historic district. Fishermen flock to Side Cut Metropark each year for the annual Walleye Run, and Farnsworth Metropark offers kayak rentals for the outdoor enthusiast.
History buffs will love exploring the Battle of Fallen Timbers and the Wolcott House Heritage Complex.
The Shops at Fallen Timbers retail lifestyle center offers a great variety of shopping, dining and entertainment options.

Oregon
Oregon, Ohio is a city located in Lucas County and a suburb of Toledo, just east of the city. It’s referred to as “Oregon on the Bay”, for its location on the northwestern shores of Lake Erie. Oregon’s most popular attraction is the picturesque Maumee Bay State Park, featuring Maumee Bay Resort & Conference Center, a waterfront resort set on the lake. Each May, the resort/park hosts The Biggest Week in American Birding, a 10-day birding festival that brings in thousands of visitors from all over the world to experience the annual warbler migration.
Other fantastic attractions include Pearson Metropark, having preserved remnants of the original “Great Black Swamp” that our region is known for. The annual ethnic German-American Festival draws over 30,000 people each year. Oregon is also the proud home to the Sundance Drive-In Theater, one of the last remaining (only 330) left in the entire country! Oregon welcomes you to enjoy our community any time of the year.


Perrysburg
The city of Perrysburg, Ohio lies in Wood County, in a natural setting along the south side of the Maumee River, just 10 minutes southeast of Toledo.
A combination of historic charm with all the modern amenities, Perrysburg gives visitors the best of both worlds, including one-of-a-kind boutiques to national retailers, great restaurants and a quaint downtown.
Perrysburg is home to Fort Meigs: Ohio’s War of 1812 Battlefield, the largest reconstructed fortification in North America. The historic downtown main street features an open-air farmers market with local vendors, musicians and artisans on Thursdays from summer to fall. Visitors can also enjoy scenic landscapes from the city’s open spaces and parks.

Rossford
Rossford, Ohio is located along the Maumee River, just south of Toledo. Located at the Crossroads of I-75 and the Ohio Turnpike in northern Wood County, it is quick drive across the river from downtown Toledo.
Rossford’s downtown is filled with local shops, restaurants and bars and is in close proximity to Hollywood Casino Toledo, Bass Pro Shops and Camping World.
