If you’re planning a visit to Toledo, there’s a new addition for your itinerary, Glass City Wranglers basketball! The Wranglers are Toledo’s professional basketball team, competing in The Basketball League (TBL), a growing national league that pairs high-level competition with a strong focus on community and fan experience.
As the team enters its fifth season, the Wranglers are moving their home games to the Glass City Center, placing them in the heart of Downtown Toledo alongside the city’s most popular sports, dining, and entertainment destinations. For visitors, that means game night fits seamlessly into a walkable downtown experience, dinner before tipoff, basketball in the evening, and drinks or dessert afterward.
With an atmosphere that blends fast-paced basketball, music, mascots, and interactive moments, Wranglers games are welcoming for families, groups, and first-time fans. We sat down with owner Joshua Radtkin to learn more about the move downtown, the team’s growth, and how Wranglers game nights are becoming part of Toledo’s must-do experiences.

Q&A with Glass City Wranglers Owner Joshua Radtkin
What does moving to the Glass City Center represent for the Wranglers at this point in the team’s journey?
Moving downtown is a major milestone for us. It’s more than just a new home court, it’s a statement about where the Wranglers are headed. Over the past five years, we’ve grown this organization, combining professional-level basketball with a strong community presence. Playing at the Glass City Center allows us to elevate that experience in a true arena setting, right in the heart of Toledo, and shows fans, players, and partners that this team is here to stay.
Why was Downtown Toledo the right fit for the Wranglers?
Downtown is where Toledo’s energy lives. You’ve got the Mud Hens, the Walleye, the waterfront, the restaurants, it’s where people come together. We’ve always admired what those teams have built, not just in terms of sports, but in how they create family-friendly entertainment that brings the community together. We want the Wranglers to continue to make Toledo one of the best minor league sports cities in the country, while bringing our own unique vibe to downtown.
What can fans expect from a Wranglers game night at the Glass City Center?
We want Wranglers nights to feel like a full entertainment experience, not just a basketball game. Families can come downtown early, grab a bite to eat nearby, and walk into an arena filled with music, fast-paced entertainment, and crowd participation from start to finish. There’s high-level basketball on the court, but also dance teams, mascots, contests, and interactive moments that make fans want to come back again and again. When the game ends, the night doesn’t have to, you’re still right in the heart of downtown.
Any advice for making the most of a Wranglers game night downtown?
Come early and stay late. Downtown is built for events like these. Grab food and drinks nearby, enjoy the game, and keep the night going afterward. You can even make it a full weekend by staying downtown, the Glass City Center is connected to the Hiltons at Downtown Toledo. A Wranglers game can be the centerpiece of a night out or memorable weekend.
