When you’re finished picking flowers\, you’ll return your clippers to GardenView.\n\nCostGuests can make a bouquet for $16. Bring a Ball brand quart-size mason jar or buy a 4” wide vase at check-in ($2 for vase) to fill with as many flowers as you would like. Guests will be able to borrow clippers from GardenView Flowers for picking flowers. One complimentary bottle of water included with each U-Pick.\nGardenView Flowers has planted more than 60 varieties of fresh-cut flowers in their U-Pick garden\, offering a colorful mix of varieties and textures for making a beautiful bouquet to take home. Please arrive a few minutes early so that they are able to get everyone checked in so that we can get on the water ASAP. \nOnce the evening paddle is finished\, they will provide transportation to GardenView Flowers where everyone will then be able to pick their own bouquet. After this\, they will also transport everyone back to Maumee River Outfitters to their vehicles! \nTickets are $55 per person and that covers everything you need to kayak and pick flowers\, including transportation\, & the kayak. DESCRIPTION:Tales of the Maya Skies is a digital full-dome show at the University of Toledo with a custom score and visuals that immerses the audience in Mayan astronomy\, art\, and culture. Narrated by Latin Grammy award winner Lila Downs\, Tales of the Maya Skies inspires and educates through its description of the Maya’s accurate astronomical achievements and how astronomy connected them to the Universe. \nwhat you can expect: \n\nA live guided tour of the Toledo night sky\nYou will learn about the constellations visible from Toledo and any planets visible to the naked eye. We also typically discuss one “hot topic” in astronomy\, such as the discovery of new planets around other stars\, or the latest NASA discover on Mars.\n\n\nThe full-dome presentation\nWhether we are traveling inside a black hole\, taking a tour of the moon with Elmo\, or learning about the skies over Toledo\, you and your family will simply be amazed at the full-dome immersive show.\nAn open-ended question and answer session\nOur expert host will answer all of your astronomy questions\, whether they pertain to the live tour of the night sky\, the feature presentation\, or any other astronomy question that you might have.\nObserving at Brooks/Ritter Observatory\nYou will be escorted over to Brooks Observatory atop McMaster Hall to view the stars and/or planets through their new 14 telescope. On the first Friday of every month\, they instead observe with the Ritter 1m (40 in) telescope. This telescope is the largest active telescope east of the Mississippi and is still used by the astronomers at UToledo for their research. All observing is weather permitting!\n\nThey accept credit card and cash payments. All shows are first-come\, first-served – reservations and advanced ticket purchases are not available. Doors open 30 minutes before the show\, during which time you can explore the displays in our lobby. \nThe planetarium (show) portion of the program is approximately one-hour\, while the observing session on Friday night will continue until everyone has had a chance to take a look through the telescope. \nAdmission to all public programs is $8 for adults and $6 for children\, seniors and UToledo community members (children 3 and under are free).

There are many photo opportunities abound\, so be sure to bring your phone or camera for capturing the experience!\nU-Pick Flowers is open form June 25-Mid September (closing date depends on weather/growing conditions)\n\nCost:$18 to fill a 4″ vase with flowers ($16 if you bring a standard size mason jar to fill)—clippers provided for use\, as well one bottle of water per ticket; Cash\, check or Venmo accepted\n\nWhat to ExpectWhen you arrive at the GardenView Flower Stop\, you’ll sign-in at their welcome table\, fill your mason jar (Ball brand quart-size mason jar) or a vase purchased from GardenView ($2) with water and a get a set of clippers for picking blossoms. When you’re finished picking flowers\, you’ll return your clippers to GardenView.\n\nCostGuests can make a bouquet for $16. Bring a Ball brand quart-size mason jar or buy a 4” wide vase at check-in ($2 for vase) to fill with as many flowers as you would like. Guests will be able to borrow clippers from GardenView Flowers for picking flowers. One complimentary bottle of water included with each U-Pick.\nGardenView Flowers has planted more than 60 varieties of fresh-cut flowers in their U-Pick garden\, offering a colorful mix of varieties and textures for making a beautiful bouquet to take home. Guests can bring a bucket or vase for transporting their flowers (water on site) or purchase a vase or bucket from the GardenView Flower Stop.
