Victorian Christmas Ball at The Toledo Club

Step back in time and celebrate the holiday season with a Victorian Christmas Ball in an elegant historic setting. Inspired by the traditions of the Victorian era, this festive evening invites guests to experience the charm, music, and dances of the 19th century.

The celebration begins with an optional afternoon dance lesson led by dance caller Tom Tumbusch, where participants can learn the waltzes, reels, and cotillions featured during the evening festivities. No period attire is required for the lesson, allowing guests to learn the dances comfortably before the formal event begins.

Guests will enjoy a plated dinner served in one of two historic dining rooms before taking to the ballroom for an evening of dancing accompanied by live musicians. Punch and hors d’oeuvres will be available throughout the evening, along with a cash bar for additional beverages. High Life Tin Types of Columbus, Ohio, will also be on-site offering authentic tintype portraits, with sign-up information provided to registered guests in advance.

Attendees are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the era by wearing period formal attire from 1837–1901, with a preference for fashions from 1840–1860.
