Toledo Bavarian Benevolent Society Maifest

Celebrate Bavarian culture and the arrival of spring at Maifest hosted by the Toledo Bavarian Benevolent Society on Saturday, May 16, from 1–9 p.m. at Oak Shade Grove, home of the German American Festival Society. This free, family-friendly event highlights German traditions through live music, folk dancing, choral performances, and cultural entertainment throughout the day. Headlining the celebration is Jay Fox and the Jammin’ Germans, alongside performances by the Bavarian Sports Club D’holzhackerbuam Schuhplatter Gruppe, Deutsche Volktanz Gruppe, Teutonia Chor, Toledo Swiss Singers, and special appearances by the Cleveland Alphorn Society. Guests can also enjoy authentic German food and beverages available for purchase while experiencing one of northwest Ohio’s longstanding cultural traditions.
