Science After Dark – Hoedown Showdown

Saddle up for a rootin’, tootin’ evening of science, spirits and Wild West fun at Science After Dark: Hoedown Showdown! Designed for adults ages 21 and up, this after-hours event invites guests to embrace their inner cowboy with hands-on workshops, games, dancing and plenty of entertainment.

Try your hand at metal casting to create a boot or rattlesnake keychain, or sample three different whiskeys during a special tasting hosted by Toledo Spirits. Guests can also test their skills on the mechanical bull, learn line dancing with Melanie from LinedUp Line Dancing, race hobby horses, try their hand at lasso roping and enjoy a game of beer pong. Open line dancing will continue from 7–10 p.m., with music and requests provided by Melanie.

With spurs, spirits and science around every corner, Science After Dark: Hoedown Showdown promises a night of Western-inspired fun for grown-ups.
