Paddle and Groove

Spend summer evenings on the water during the Paddle & Groove Concert Series on the Maumee River, a one-of-a-kind experience presented by Black Swamp Conservancy and KeyBank National Association Trustee for the Walter E. Terhune Memorial Fund. Returning for another season, this unique concert series invites participants to paddle alongside live music performances as a band cruises down the river aboard a pontoon boat.

Taking place on select evenings in June, July, and August from 6:00–7:30 p.m., guests can enjoy live music while kayaking or canoeing along the scenic Maumee River. Participants can rent a kayak through Maumee Tackle Fishing & Kayaking Outfitters or bring their own kayak or canoe for an unforgettable floating concert experience. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to launch and prepare for departure. Children under 18 must ride in a tandem kayak or canoe with an adult.

The 2026 lineup features a diverse range of musical styles:

June 24 | Handmade Moments – A New Orleans-based duo blending Americana influences with soulful vocals and a creative mix of instruments including saxophone, sousaphone, upright bass, and beatboxing.

July 15 | Dustin Dale Gaspard – A bilingual blues, roots, and folk songwriter whose Bayou-inspired performances celebrate Cajun heritage through guitar, banjo, harmonica, and old-soul sounds.

August 5 | Djangophonique – An award-winning ensemble bringing the vibrant spirit of Django Reinhardt-inspired jazz manouche to life with expressive melodies and energetic performances.

Whether paddling alongside the music or simply enjoying an evening immersed in nature and community, Paddle & Groove offers a memorable way to experience summer on the Maumee River.
