Juneteenth Celebration – Wayman Palmer YMCA

Join the NAACP Toledo Branch and the YMCA for a community-wide Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 19, at the Wayman Palmer YMCA. This free family-friendly event honors the history, culture, and significance of Juneteenth while bringing the community together for a day of education, wellness, entertainment, and connection.

Guests of all ages can enjoy a variety of activities and resources throughout the afternoon, including free haircuts and braiding, hands-on arts and crafts, health and wellness opportunities, spoken word performances, and interactive experiences from Imagination Station. Food trucks will be on site serving a variety of local favorites, creating a festive atmosphere for families, friends, and neighbors to gather and celebrate.

Whether you’re learning more about the history of Juneteenth, enjoying live performances, or taking advantage of community resources, this event offers a meaningful and engaging way to commemorate freedom, resilience, and community.
