Glowing Yooper Stone Jewelry Workshop

Discover the fascinating world of glowing minerals and create wearable art in this hands-on Yooper Stone Jewelry Workshop at Copper Moon Studio. Led by instructor Sarah Nidek-Eberle of Stoned by Medusa, participants will work with authentic Yooper Stones collected from the shores of the Great Lakes. These unique stones contain fluorescent minerals that glow bright orange under UV light, making each finished piece a one-of-a-kind keepsake.

Beginners can start with Level 1, where they’ll learn the basics of lapidary arts by shaping, polishing, and finishing a glowing Yooper Stone into a beautiful pendant using professional polishing equipment. Those looking to expand their skills can continue with Level 2, an advanced workshop for participants who have completed Level 1. Students will use a lapidary saw to cut, shape, and set their Yooper Stone into a pendant or ring while learning more advanced jewelry-making techniques.

All supplies are included, and participants will take home their completed jewelry. The workshop is open to ages 10 and older, with an optional UV flashlight upgrade available during Level 1. Advance registration is required, and guests needing accessibility accommodations are encouraged to notify the studio ahead of time.
